In interactive ZK proofs, the prover and verifier talk to confirm what the prover knows without revealing extra info about the secret. For it to be effective, it must satisfy these criteria: 1. Completeness: When both the prover and verifier are honest, and the input is valid, the ZK protocol should always result in a "true" outcome. 2. Soundness: If the input isn't valid, a dishonest prover shouldn't trick the ZK protocol into a "true" outcome. 3. Zero Knowledge: The verifier learns nothing about a statement apart from whether it's true.
